There’s something about a Paliku Gardens wedding that just feels different in the best way. The views are unreal, the space feels private and intentional, and everything about it creates the kind of atmosphere where you can actually be present on your wedding day. Monika and David’s wedding at Kualoa Ranch was exactly that, heartfelt, relaxed, and full of meaning from start to finish. But what really made this day stand out wasn’t just the location. It was the experience we built together leading up to it!

What a Paliku Gardens Wedding Experience Really Looks Like
When couples book me, it’s never just about showing up on the wedding day and taking photos. A big part of what I do happens before the wedding, making sure everything feels smooth, thought-out, and way less stressful. I always make myself available for consult calls, and this is where we go over timeline suggestions, how to prep your details (like putting everything in one box so nothing gets missed), and small things that make a big difference, like having someone help gather family for portraits or keeping your getting-ready space clean and photo-ready.
The goal is simple: I want you to feel calm, confident, and fully prepared walking into your day. Because when you know what to expect, you can actually enjoy it, and that shows in your photos. And sometimes, this kind of support goes beyond logistics. During a call with Monika and David, she mentioned wanting Taylor Swift’s acoustic version of “Wish List” for their last dance, a version that had only been available for 24 hours. I posted about it, and within a couple of hours, someone sent it to me so we could make it happen for her wedding day. What mattered was that it was important to her, so it became important to me. That’s the kind of experience I care about creating for my couples.

The Moments That Make a Paliku Gardens Wedding Feel Personal
Monika and David’s day was full of those quiet, meaningful moments that don’t feel rushed or overly structured. From getting ready with their closest people to walking through the lush greenery of Paliku Gardens, everything felt really grounded and true to them. Their ceremony overlooked the ocean, surrounded by palms and soft, natural tones that matched the entire vibe of the day. It wasn’t over-the-top, it was intentional. And that’s something I see a lot with a Paliku Gardens wedding. The space naturally encourages you to slow down and focus on what actually matters. Even during portraits, nothing felt forced. We had the space to move, explore, and let moments happen naturally. You could feel how comfortable they were with each other, and that always translates into photos that feel real instead of posed.

A Private Last Dance to End Their Paliku Gardens Wedding
Right before the reception wrapped up, Monika made the call to clear the space so they could have a private last dance. Just the two of them. No crowd, no distractions, just a quiet moment together at the end of the day. They danced to “Wish List,” and you could literally see her singing the words to David while they were swaying together. It was one of those moments that felt really soft and personal, the kind that you don’t plan perfectly, but ends up meaning everything. And knowing how much intention went into getting that song? It just made it that much more special.
